Housing & Residence Life and Facilities Management want to let you know about water service for the Canyon residence hall community.

On Sunday, an aging underground water line leaked, disrupting water service for Alder, Cedar, Chinquapin, and Hemlock residence halls.  Madrone, Maple, Pepperwood, and Tan Oak were not affected.

Facilities Management restored water service late last night to Alder, Cedar, and Chinquapin. Due to ongoing repairs, water service for Hemlock remains shut off.  

Water for all four buildings will be tested to confirm it’s safe to drink.  In the meantime, Housing is providing Alder, Cedar, Chinquapin and Hemlock residents with access to other sources of drinking water and  to alternative bathrooms and shower facilities.

Housing continues to share updates with affected student residents about water safety and ongoing repairs. However, if you hear from students who live in Hemlock, Alder, Cedar, or Chinquapin, please remind them to check their emails for more details.
