The University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Elizabeth Keener as the new Director of the Campus Disability Resource Center (CDRC).

Dr. Keener has been a valued member of the University community since 2023, serving as a K–16 Advisor and part-time faculty member. In her new role, she brings extensive experience in disability support, accommodations, adapted physical activity, and inclusive education.

Dr. Keener earned her Ph.D. in Kinesiology & Health with an emphasis in Adapted Physical Activity and a minor in Special Education from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas, in 2022. She also holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Adapted Physical Education from California State University, Humboldt, earned in 2017, and a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Fitness & Wellness from California State University, Chico, earned in 2008.

Throughout her career, Dr. Keener has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities and creating environments where all students have the opportunity to succeed. Her academic background and professional experience provide a strong foundation for advancing the work of the CDRC and strengthening services for students across campus.

As Director, Dr. Keener looks forward to growing the CDRC, expanding the services and resources available to students, and advancing the University’s commitment to a more inclusive and accessible campus community.
