From October 21st to October 25th, we will honor the contributions and achievements of transfer students with a series of activities designed to provide support, build a sense of belonging, and recognize the unique experiences of those who have transitioned to our campus.

We encourage everyone to participate in these events and show your support for our transfer students. Your involvement can make a significant difference in creating an inclusive and welcoming environment.

This year we have included more ways for Staff & Faculty to be engaged such as: 

• How to Support a Transfer Student Workshop | Friday 10/25 at 10AM in the depot
  - Workshop will provide insight on the struggles of a transfer student and how to support them. 
• Making Connections with Faculty & Staff |  Friday 10/25 at 11AM 
  - This is an opportunity for students to join in a non stressful environment with some coffee and make connections with Faculty & Staff at the depot. Please email us if you would like to participate in this event at tso@humboldt.edu. Space is limited.
• Awarding Transfer Champions 
  - We will be awarding one Staff & one Faculty member as our Transfer Champions. A transfer champion is someone on campus who supports and encourages transfer students either within their classroom or at work. These champions will receive awards and we will showcase them on our social media on October 25th. Please nominate them using this form by October 21st.
