In partnership with Human Resources, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Academic Personnel Services (APS), and Staff Council, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) will host listening circles for faculty and staff on the first Thursday of each month from 11 am to 12 pm throughout the academic year, beginning on September 5th. The listening circles will be provided in-person and virtually. 

The intention of offering monthly listening circles is to provide a consistent forum for faculty and staff to engage in open dialogue, deep listening, and constructive rapport, where each voice is respected and valued. The listening circles are offered from 11 am - 12 pm to embed the opportunity into the workday as a symbol of institutional support for employee participation and well-being. Group conversations will be facilitated by staff from the partnering organizations.

If you would like to participate, please join us for the first listening circle of the academic year in person at the Library Fishbowl, Library 209 at 11 am on Thursday, September 5th, or join us virtually using the Zoom link above. 

The Listening Circle will be opened as a full group where we will share the purpose of the listening circles and share community agreements for engagement before breaking out into smaller groups. We will conclude with a brief full-group engagement for anyone to further share in the larger space. No notes will be taken and the sessions will not be recorded.
