The Office of Student Life would like to share some information about upcoming New Student Orientation. 

Orientation, now known as Welcome Week, will be Monday, August 19th through Friday, August 23rd, with the Transfer Student Orientation on Thursday, August 22nd. These events are a collaborative effort by the Orientation office, the Place Based Learning Communities (PBLC) office and EOP with input from every area of campus. We are incredibly thankful to all of our presenters, our Orientation committee, CES, Dining, and all of our other collaborators for making these events happen. To accommodate all incoming students, the schedule will be broken down into three different types which are based on a student’s PBLC status and whether they are a transfer student.

 The schedules are posted on the Orientation Website, including individualized schedules for each PBLC.

• Green Track (Freshman Group 1) - PBLCs Klamath Connection (KC), Among Giants (AG), Baduwa’t to Bay (B2B), Creando Raíces (CR), and Rising Tides (RT) 

• Gold Track (Freshman Group 2) -  Green to Gold (G2G), Educators for Social Justice (E4SJ), Healthy Humboldt (H2), Food Futures (F2), Global Humboldt (GH), Creative Coast (CC), Dreamscapes (DS), People and Planet (P2), Stars to Rocks (S2R), Representing Realities (RR), and Non-PBLC Students.

• Transfer Students 

Parent and Family Orientation sessions have been held in collaboration with Admissions and Forever Humboldt throughout the summer. We will be hosting a Welcome BBQ on the University Quad on August 17th starting at 6 p.m. We would love to have faculty, staff, and administrators present to welcome our new students and families. If you are able to attend please fill out this form to let us know. 

We are also looking for volunteers to help us with check-in during Welcome Week on Monday, August 19 and Thursday, August 22. For shift details and to sign up, please use this form.
