Friday, March 22nd, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm in Goodwin Forum (Nelson Hall, Room 102)

Cal Poly Humboldt's Cannabis Studies Program invites campus and community members to attend a special lecture on Cannabis and Social Equity by guest speaker Khalil Ferguson of the United Cannabis Opportunity Reinvestment and Equity (CORE) Alliance. Ferguson’s lecture "Achieving Social Equity in California: Obstacles in Business and Legislation," will take place on Friday, March 22, 2024, on the Cal Poly Humboldt campus in Goodwin Forum, Room 102 of Nelson Hall East, from 5:30-7 PM. The room is located just east of the Library Circle and parking lot. The event is free and open to all.

The Cannabis Studies Program is honored to present this lecture about the changing landscape of cannabis and social
equity in California. The event is funded by a grant from the Cal Poly Humboldt Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Ferguson is the President of the United CORE Alliance, a non-profit organization in Sacramento, CA who works in
partnership with the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development to restore the rights of formerly
incarcerated individuals through records expungement.
