Dear Campus Community,

As many of you know, HSU has been in the search of a new AVP of Human Resources for several months. Unfortunately, we have been unable to identify the right candidate for the position. Therefore, we have engaged The Registry to provide us with an Interim AVP of Human Resources. The Registry has assigned Bruce Curl to begin with HSU full-time on November 29, 2021. Bruce will be with us until the end of the school year, helping further HR’s purpose and objectives, build staffing, support our teams, and assist in the recruitment of a full-time AVP.

Bruce has been working in Human Resources in higher education since 1970. For the last 9 years, post retirement, he has been a consultant for The Registry to help schools, similar to HSU, in need of interim leadership in HR. Bruce has a BS in Business and Master in Public Administration. He spent the majority of his career at and retired from Laramie County Community College. 

We wish to thank David Hickcox for his excellent work and leadership as the Interim AVP of Human Resources. During his time in Human Resources, David helped restructure the area and improve many processes for the University.  David will be returning to the good work of the Title IX team as of November 29, and continuing to be a resource for the transition of Bruce.
