Humboldt State’s Devin Hauenstein and Dylan Tovani named to 2020-21 Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA

As announced this morning, Humboldt State’s Devin Hauenstein and Dylan Tovani have been named to the 2020-21 Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA. Hauenstein and Tovani were selected to the District 8 Team which consists of teams from the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) and The PacWest Conference. 
 
Hauenstein recorded three assists in the Lumberjacks’ six matches this Spring.  His first assist came in HSU’s 3-1 win over Dominican (Calif.).  His second came in the Lumberjacks’ 5-0 win over Holy Names and the third in their 1-0 win over Southern Oregon.  Earlier this academic year, Hauenstein was named to the 2020-21 CCAA Fall All-Academic Team.  For the second time this academic year, the Kinesiology major was named to the Department’s Dean’s List.

 Tovani played in all six matches for the 4-1-1 Lumberjacks this past Spring while recording an assist in their 5-0 win over Holy Names.  For the second time in his career earlier this academic year, Tovani was named to the CCAA Fall All-Academic Team.  The Business Administration major was named to the Department’s Presidential Scholar List this Spring and this Fall was a member of the Department’s Dean’s List.

 The 2020-21 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the pitch and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team (if applicable) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-June.
 
The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
 
The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
