HSU Dining to Provide Holiday Harvest Meals on Wednesday, Nov. 25

Students, staff, and faculty can preorder a harvest meal to be picked up Wednesday, Nov. 25 and reheated. 

If you are an HSU student and would like a Harvest Meal but are unable to pay for it, please email rdc23@humboldt.edu. HSU Oh SNAP! will be providing free Harvest Meals for students with a financial need.

Description: Meal includes dinner, plus two appetizers, dessert and beverage. This is enough food to nibble at all day while still enjoying a well-rounded meal. There are vegan, gluten free, vegan & gluten free, or dairy free options. Meals are free of nuts, fish, shellfish and pork.

Each meal will include:

  • turkey or Tofurky Glazed Ham

  • cornbread stuffing

  • mashed potatoes with gravy

  • mac ‘n’ cheese or cauliflower mac ‘n’ cheese

  • seasoned green beans

  • candied yams

  • cranberry sauce

  • green salad with Ranch or Italian dressing

  • small veggie tray with hummus

  • antipasto (pickled veggies)

  • dinner roll or corn muffin

  • cookie

  • Martinelli’s sparkling apple juice

Packaging: All items will be cold at time of pickup and will need to be refrigerated until eaten. Items that need to be reheated before serving or are meant to be eaten cold will be in a jade OZZI reusable container. Items that are shelf-stable and do not need to be refrigerated will be in a clear OZZI reusable container.  Containers must be returned to the College Creek Marketplace or a residence hall collection point on campus by Friday, Nov. 27 unless the containers are emptied, cleaned, and dried before storing. All reusable OZZI containers must be returned to campus before leaving for the semester.

Ordering: Orders must be placed using this Google forms link by Monday, Nov. 23 at noon. Student/Staff ID and HSU email address are required to place an order. Payment will be made at time of pickup. Email dining@humboldt.edu with questions.

Pickup: All orders are to be picked up at College Creek Marketplace at the back register between 11 a.m. 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25. HSU ID is required. If additional items will be purchased, such as pie or other snacks, the cashier should be notified. Once additional selections are made, the cashier can ring up the order and take payment. Orders not picked up will be charged regardless. Heating instructions will be included in the bag and will also be emailed. A reminder email to pick up the meal will be sent.
