Reminder: 3:30 p.m. Virtual Forum For UPD Chief Candidate

As a reminder, Humboldt State University will host a virtual open forum for Jason Wade, Captain, University of Oregon Police Department, one of two candidates for Chief of the University Police Department.

Jason Wade, Captain, University of Oregon Police Department (resume)
Jason Wade has spent 23 years in law enforcement; 19 of those in a University setting. His career started with a Sheriff’s Department in Colorado in 1997, and in 2001 he moved to the University of Colorado, Boulder to work as a Police Officer. He spent 13 years there, rising to the level of Commander. In 2014, the University made changes in the structure of their Police Department and eliminated all 3 Commander positions. Jason was laid off from his job, so he took a position with the University of Oregon Police Department, where he is currently one of the two Captains that are second-in-command of the agency. Jason has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration.
