The Theatre Arts Seismic renovation project has remained on schedule, and HSU has been granted occupancy in time for the Fall 2019 semester. 

As we near total completion for the building, the University will be working with the contractor to get the remaining outstanding items completed as soon as possible. One of the items that remains outstanding is the final inspection for the elevator modernization. The contractor currently has inspection scheduled for September 5, 2019, upon which we should be able to re-open the elevator. 

While the elevator is off-line, way-finding signage will be posted to highlight accessible entrances on both the ground level and the first level. SDRC has been contacted and will also be available to assist with getting people to these entrances. The ground level entrance will be through the double doors on the west side of the building, and the first level entrance will be the double doors on the south entrance to the John Van Duzer Theater (JVD). Please reference the attached campus map for these locations.
