The goal of the Teaching & Learning Innovation Showcase is to provide participants with information and ideas relevant to promoting student success in the 21st century. We are looking for a wide array of topics that are innovative, engaging, inspiring, and informative to share with HSU faculty, librarians, and staff. First-hand perspectives provide valuable insight. Some topics to consider (but not limited to):
- Open Educational Resources (OER)/Affordable Learning Solutions (AL$)
- Culturally Responsive Teaching
- Educational Technology
- S.T.E.M. Strategies
- Virtual Labs
- Advising & Mentoring for Student Success
- Learning Analytics
- Makerspaces
- Universal Design for Learning
- Active Learning Strategies
- Project Based Learning
- Service Learning
- Supplemental Instruction (SI)
Who: Faculty, Librarians, and Staff
What: A series of brief (~5 minutes each) participant-driven presentations revolving around innovative approaches to teaching and learning followed by hands-on exploration at our Innovation Stations.
When: Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 3-5pm
