Administrative Memo: VPAA 16-04

SUBJECT: Merger of Center for International Programs (CIP) with College of eLearning and Extended Education CEEE). New organizational name will be College of Extended Education and Global Engagement (CEEGE)

DISTRIBUTION: All Faculty, Staff, and Administrative Offices

To better leverage organizational effectiveness within HSU, CEEE and CIP to (i) support HSU’s 2015-2020 Strategic Plan implementation, (ii) support and elevate international student recruitment, enrollment, retention and graduation, (iii) support the CSU Graduation Initiative 2025 (GI2025), (iv) support success efforts for all learners, (v) enhance stewardship of community and international partnerships (vi) and more effectively deploy university resources, the Center for International Programs (CIP) and the College of eLearning and Extended Education (CEEE) will be merged into a single unit and will be known as the College of Extended Education and Global Engagement (CEEGE) effective 05/18/2017.

As a result of this merger, CEEGE will be better positioned to provide career-driven academic pathways, and enhanced support/expertise to all learners through innovative and student-centered strategies. Simultaneously, CEEGE will seek to expand its global partnerships to support/facilitate workforce development internationally.
