The following message was provided by Human Resources:

Anthem Blue Cross was the target of an external cyber-attack. The attackers gained access to Anthem’s IT system and obtained member personal information (e.g., name, birthdate, SSN, address and employment information). There is no evidence medical information was breached. Anthem has contacted the FBI and an investigation is underway.  

Anthem will individually notify current and former members whose information has been accessed. A toll-free number has been established for questions: 1-877-263-7995.
