CalTrans is reporting a closure of U.S. Highway 101 between Lake Benbow Drive and Cooks Valley, about 1 hour and 20 minutes south of campus. The highway will be closed in both directions until mid-afternoon today due to a large rock slide in the area. 

With the holidays approaching, many students, staff and faculty members will be traveling out of the area. Motorists are encouraged to check current state highway conditions at the CalTrans website, http://www.dot.ca.gov/ or dial 1-800-427-7623 (1-800-GAS-ROAD)
