You Are Invited: Celebrate The PBLC Director Katlin Goldenberg!

July 9, 2024

After robust search process, Katlin Goldenberg has officially accepted the role of Program Director of the Place-Based Learning Communities!

Kat has served as Interim Director for over two years, adding to her overall near decade experience of building and implementing PBLCs. She has led the charge in supporting first-time first-year (FTF) students in their integration into our fine community. Her work started with launching Klamath Connection in 2015 and continues now with expanding the PBLCs to include all of our FTF this year! On top of creating a community of belonging, she continues to publish research on best practices for creating and supporting learning communities and uses data to drive decision-making, works tirelessly with faculty and staff partners to adapt to the many changes, demands and challenges necessary for this work, and still regularly engages in direct student support.

“Congratulations to Kat, we are happy to welcome you to the Academic Programs Leadership team. I am looking forward to our continued collaboration in supporting Cal Poly Humboldt students and our community” AVP Bustos-Works

Please join us in celebrating Katlin Goldenberg on Thursday, July 18th from 11am to 1pm in the Great Hall. There will be stimulating conversation, games, and our director’s favorite nacho bar!
