You are invited to be a part of the Trillium Project

October 31, 2023

All faculty are invited to be a part of the inaugural cohort of the Trillium Project. A new Humboldt based faculty development program that advances sustainability across the curriculum. This program is based on the successful work of the Ponderosa Project at Northern Arizona University and adapted at Emory in the Piedmont project. There are many entry points for sustainability, this learning retreat will meet you where you're at in deciding how to integrate sustainability into your course, may it be a new module or updating existing course content.

Participating faculty will

  • Learn how to develop or modify course curriculum with sustainability-related and sustainability-focused content

  • Participate in the conversation of sustainability designated courses at Cal Poly Humboldt

  • Experience collegial support for teaching sustainability across the disciplines

  • Recognize the resources available to support teaching and learning sustainability

Agenda: The 2-day in person learning retreat is designed to infuse sustainability across the curriculum. Faculty will be engaged in several different kinds of activities and exercises addressing the gap between what we teach and what students need to navigate planetary and social instability.
