Welcome to ORCiD!
In just a few minutes, you can set up an ORCiD ID which will make it easy for potential collaborators to find you. Having an ORCiD ID ensures your research outputs and activities are correctly attributed to you and that your name is connected to your research contributions and affiliations. It’s also increasingly required to submit journal articles or grant applications.
ORCiD, which stands for Open Researcher and Contributor ID, is a global, not-for-profit organization where all who participate in research, scholarship, and innovation are uniquely identified and connected to their contributions across disciplines, borders, and time.
To get an ORCiD iD, or link one you already have to your Cal Poly Humboldt identity, please go to https://orcid.org/. You can also easily access ORCiD through your MyHumboldt Portal by visiting the 'faculty/staff resources' menu. Connecting Cal Poly Humboldt with your ORCID iD enables the university to link information about your research activities stored in it’s systems.
