Upcoming Teaching Professional Development for All Educators

January 18, 2024

The Center for Teaching & Learning is proud to promote the following Teaching Professional Development opportunities for all educators:

Course Design Academy

Sign up for the Course Design Academy to re-imagine your teaching and your students’ learning through backward design. Participants across all teaching modalities (face-to-face, online, blended) and disciplines will have an opportunity to engage in a fully online, asynchronous, facilitated learning experience over four weeks (~5 hours per week). Together, we will explore our students, and our roles and practices as unique educators. This course is informed by learning science, learning theories, instructional design theories/practices, and the teaching/technology methodologies to support them.

  • February 12 - March 10, 2024 (Four weeks, ~20 hours total)

  • Four weeks, asynchronous online with optional Zoom check-ins

  • Stipend upon completion

  • Notification of Participation: February 2nd

Mid-Semester Feedback

We invite all faculty to participate in the Mid-Semester Feedback (MSF) Program, a non-evaluative opportunity to hear from your students and inform your teaching and their learning success. Our trained graduate student facilitators will meet where you are—in person, via Zoom, or asynchronously—to offer the most flexibility.

  • 30-minute MSF (week 7 or 8)

  • 5-10 minute Last Class Interview (LCI) (week 12 or 13)

To request an MSF for your course, please complete this short form Request a Mid-Semester Feedback Survey - one form for each course you'd like to survey. Please request your MSF now (and no later than Friday, February 23rd) so we can schedule your MSF at mid-semester!
