Spring Textbooks on Reserves Requests
Textbook on Reserves Program
Cal Poly Humboldt Library
Access to textbooks and other required readings is essential to student success in our courses. However, that access is not always available, as these items can sometimes be prohibitively expensive for our students to access. Cal Poly Humboldt Library's Textbook on Reserves Program helps to improve student success on campus by providing free, easy access to textbooks and other required readings. Our Course Reserves Collection includes physical books, eBooks, and other course materials available for free check out to students enrolled in those classes. Learn more at our Library Reserves Website. We can accept instructor copies, will place books from the Library stacks on reserves, and we can purchase new texts as well, both physical and digital. Get your request in by Tuesday, January 3rd to give us the best opportunity to have materials available for students by the time instruction begins.

In addition to utilizing reserves - the Cal Poly Humboldt OER/AL$ (open educational resources/affordable learning solutions) program is active for 22-23. Cal Poly Humboldt's Sustainable Learning Program is a campus strategy for implementing the CSU Affordable Learning Solutions initiative. This University Library faculty development stipend program aims to decrease the cost of an education by promoting and supporting faculty in evaluating and adopting high-quality, peer-reviewed open educational resources. As well, faculty will find that increasing student engagement via OER development and utilizing open pedagogies greatly supports active, applied learning. There are major benefits that can be evaluated with our dedicated support. Please, feel free to reach out for support anytime by emailing oer@humboldt.edu
