STEM-NET May Virtual Research Cafe 10.0

The HSU Sponsored Programs Foundation will be hosting this Live Virtual Cafe Presented by Dr. Frank A. Gomez, Executive Director, CSU STEM-NET. You can either register and view it on your own, or come participate with our staff via zoom.

The Café’s aim is to help foster research collaborations across the CSU system and catalyze the submission of intercampus proposals. Each café involves three 10 minute faculty presentations on their research and ideas for future work. Q&A takes place during the virtual mixer following presentations.

  • Dr. Parvin Shahrestani, Assistant Professor, Department of Biological Sciences, Cal State Fullerton, Phenotype to Genotype Mapping of Health-Relevant Traits in Fruit Flies

  • Dr. Stephanie Zaleski,Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, Cal State Eastbay, Developing Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy-Based Sensors for the Detection of Volatile Organic Compounds
