Reminder: Sense of the Senate Resolution Today, 3:30, NHE 102

February 11, 2020
Hello CNRS Students, Staff, Faculty, and Administrators,
I wanted to remind you that today at 3:30 in NHE 102, the Faculty Affairs Committee will present the attached Sense of the Senate Resolution to the Senate. Additionally, during the Open Forum (3:15-3:30), a few lecturers will talk about their experiences teaching at HSU and the range elevation process.
This resolution urges the California State University System and the California Faculty Association to change the lecturer range elevation schedule such that lecturers will be eligible for raises after six years of full-time equivalent work and that minimum raises will be for 6%. It would be terrific if we could have a large turnout at today's meeting to demonstrate to the Senate (and attendees) widespread support for this resolution. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns related to this effort to increase equity between lecturers and tenure-line faculty.
All the best,
Lucy Kerhoulas
