Preparing Your Syllabi
Dear Faculty,
Welcome to Fall 2016!
The following links will be helpful to you as you finish preparing your syllabi. There are a few new things (in BOLD, below):
1. New syllabus policy:
https://www2.humboldt.edu/policy/P16-03Syllabi-Policy
Please note that there is one link that you need for your syllabus, instead of several. In place of including “suggested language” about HSU policies, procedures and resources into each syllabus, you only need to include this one link on your syllabi – it covers everything (e.g., academic integrity, add/drop policy):
http://www2.humboldt.edu/academicprograms/syllabus-addendum-campus-resources-policies
General syllabus preparation information:
http://www2.humboldt.edu/academicprograms/syllabus-help
2. September 5th, 2016 is the new deadline to Add or Drop classes without a serious and compelling reason for the Fall 2016 semester (list on all syllabi).
3. Fall 2016 final exam schedule (list on all syllabi):
http://pine.humboldt.edu/registrar/pdf/CurrentFinalExam.pdf
4. Course, program, and HSU Baccalaureate student learning outcomes (list those relevant on syllabi):
https://www.humboldt.edu/academicprograms/node/183
5. General Education and All-University (GEAR) student learning outcomes (list on syllabi for all GE courses):
http://www.humboldt.edu/academicprograms/learning-outcomes
6. Making your syllabi accessible to all in Word:

7. Additional tutorials, checklists, and other resources (CSU Accessible Technology Initiative site):

Please feel free to contact me or anyone in the Academic Programs office if you have any questions. We are located in Siemens Hall, room 217A.
Have a good fall semester!
All the best,
