Please join us in welcoming Holly Hilgenberg to the Office of Philanthropy. Holly's role as Annual Giving Communication Specialist is a revised and expanded version of Annual Giving Project Coordinator, previously held by Madeline Howard, who has since returned to her education in nursing.

As Annual Giving Communication Specialist, Holly will be in charge of the Phone Jacks program, will manage a small team of student storytellers who focus on the impact of donor support on students’ lives, and will develop and coordinate other related projects.

Holly has a background in communications work, with an emphasis on both print publishing and online media. Much of her work has focused on public education, starting as an editor at a small publication company focused on Montessori programs and later as part of the communications department at Perpich, the Minnesota state agency for arts education. She is excited to extend her experience to higher education and the HSU community.

Coming from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Holly is thrilled to leave behind the long, bitter winters for a more temperate climate, larger trees and even larger bodies of water. When not biking or hiking, she enjoys painting, fiber arts, herbalism, hosting creative community building events, creating her own publications and selling vintage clothing.
