NEW Associate Dean for the College of Professional Studies
Humboldt State University (HSU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Mary Glenn as the Associate Dean for the College of Professional Studies (CPS). Dr. Glenn has served as the Interim Associate Dean in CPS since August 2013. Prior to that, she served as Professor and Chair in the Department of Anthropology, Founder and Chair of the International Advisory Committee, and as a member of the Cabinet for Institutional Change and the Board of Directors for the University Advancement Foundation. She is a Senior Research Fellow at the Windward Islands Research and Education Foundation.
Dr. John Y. Lee, Dean of CPS, describes Dr. Glenn as “a servant leader committed to supporting faculty and coordinating and prioritizing efforts to improve inclusive student success at HSU. She places student needs, growth, and achievement at the core of what we do at the University and is ideally suited to help to lead the student success initiatives of the College and University. Dr. Glenn has developed many hands-on, participatory learning experiences for students and involved undergraduates in all aspects of her scholarly and community service initiatives so has been very effective working with CPS faculty and students to expand the hands-on learning and internship initiatives designed to improve student engagement, learning, and job placement. We are delighted she has accepted the appointment as Associate Dean for the College.”
