MLK Day of Service Registration Still Open
Hello Campus Partners,
Join us for the 3rd Annual MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It is not too late to sign-up for this important day commemorating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
IN PERSON (HSU ONLY): Click HERE to register to volunteer from 8:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (Due to current Covid restrictions, the in-person volunteer portion of this event is ONLY open to HSU students, staff, & faculty. All participants must comply with mask mandates, and Grab 'n Go food and beverages will be provided in compliance with HSU's new food and event policies.)
VIRTUAL (OPEN TO ALL): Please join us for our Virtual Closing speaker, Bree Newsome, from Noon-1:30 p.m. Register at hsu.link/mlk22 for the Zoom Session.
Schedule:
8:00–8:15 a.m.: Check at the SBS (Student Business Services) Lobby
8:40–10:40 a.m.: Volunteer Projects at one of these community sites
Boys & Girls Club Eureka Teen Center
Jefferson Community Center
North Coast Regional Land Trust at Freshwater Farms
Oh Snap! Food Pantry & Knitting with YES, on campus
11:00 a.m.–noon: Lunch Break (Boxed “to-go” Lunches provided)
Noon: VIRTUAL Closing Speaker, Bree Newsome [Participants will have the option to watch as a group in the Great Hall or from their home].
IMPORTANT: If you are unable to volunteer at the community sites in the morning, we encourage you not to miss the virtual presentation with Bree Newsome!
