Mid-Semester Feedback Program
Mid-Semester Feedback Program
The Mid-Semester Feedback Program is a way for instructors to get in-depth, honest feedback from students about what is and isn’t helping them learn in a course. Our goal is to provide instructors and students with an opportunity for mid-semester feedback that focuses on learning and student success in the course.. Unlike student evaluations, this program invites open discussion among students and is conducted at the midpoint of the semester, allowing you to incorporate your student feedback immediately into the remainder of your course.

This program is available to any instructor at Cal Poly Humboldt for any course, including online and asynchronous classes. For one 50-minute class session, one of our facilitators will solicit feedback from your students, which they will synthetsize into a single, anonymized report. We will then return at the end of the semester for a short 10-minute follow-up. The whole process is voluntary, anonymous, and confidential.
