"Humboldt Offshore Wind" panel, April 29

The Cal Poly Humboldt Departments of Politics and Economics present the 20th annual Victor T. Schaub Memorial Lecture on Local Politics.

“Humboldt Offshore Wind: Challenges and Opportunities for the Local Community”
Monday April 29, 5-7pm, Cal Poly Humboldt, BSS 166

This panel will share information about the offshore wind project being developed in Humboldt, encourage discussion of perspectives on the project, and highlight how the local community can express their views and concerns in decision making processes.

Moderator: Professor Stephanie Burkhalter, Department of Politics

The lecture series' namesake, Victor Schaub, was an Arcata civil attorney and professional mediator who was elected to the City Council in 1988 and served two terms, until 1996. He served as mayor from 1990-95. Victor died in 2004 at the age of 60, and the Victor Schaub Memorial Lecture series was established in his honor.
