CSU Biotechnology (CSUBIOTECH) is a committed network of faculty, deans and presidents representing the CSU’s 22 universities. Together, their work champions biotechnology innovation and helps students embark on life science careers through experiential learning opportunities.
About: CSUBIOTECH operates as an ongoing community of interest, learning, and practice. As a result, CSU faculty members system-wide come together to build on common interests, learn to improve professionally, consider a problem, and bring about positive change within the CSU. CSUBIOTECH wants to empower CSU faculty members, whether a Faculty Consensus Group (FCG) member or not, to form multi-campus communities around topics of interest and to organize workshops or symposium sessions.
The proposed activity should align with CSUBIOTECH’s focus on biotechnology education and research.
CSUBIOTECH defines biotechnology as a fusion of biology and technology. Biotechnology examples can be found via the Biotechnology Industry Organization’s website. CSUBIOTECH explicitly adds to the list health IT and medical device research and development.
Applicants must submit their completed and signed proposals a minimum of three months prior to the scheduled event. Planned events must occur within the fiscal year of July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027.
