The 2027–28 Fulbright competitions are now open, with important deadlines approaching for both students and scholars.

Fulbright U.S. Student Program
The national deadline is October 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET. The program offers opportunities for graduating students, graduate students, and recent alumni, including English Teaching Assistant (ETA) and Study/Research awards. Cal Poly Humboldt has an earlier internal campus deadline of September 4th for candidates applying through the university, so prospective applicants should contact Fulbright Program Coordinator Tani Sebro at ts231@humboldt.edu as soon as possible.

Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program
Faculty and other eligible professionals are encouraged to explore Fulbright opportunities for teaching, research, and professional engagement abroad. The national deadline for the 2027–28 U.S. Scholar Program is September 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET. Some specialized programs, including International Education Administrator Awards, have different deadlines.
