F.R.E.E. Undocuweek October 7 - 11

September 30, 2013

Finding Resources and Empowerment through Education (F.R.E.E.) would like to invite you to Undocu-Week of Awareness, a week long event, being hosted by FREE with collaborations with Lambda Theta Phi, MEChA de Humboldt State, Marisol Ruiz from the School of Education Department, and Cesar Abarca from the Social Work Department.  Undocu-Week of Awareness is taking place next week October 7th-11th.

People attending to the event(s) will have the opportunity to have an interactive learning experience, Undocuweek will raise awareness centered on the theme of obstacles and barriers that undocumented people and students face every day followed by dialogues on how overcome these issues. In addition, we will also create awareness on being an active ally with the undocumented community. Undocu-week of Awareness will bring awareness to resources, civic engagement, grassroots organizing, and will create a safe space for students to discuss issues on our campus through workshops, film screenings, personal experiences, art, and creating strategies on how to make HSU AB-540 friendly.

Attached is the flyer pertaining to all events taking place during Undocu-Week of Awareness. If you have any questions or concerns please emailja137@humboldt.edu  Hope to see y'all there!
