Hello, friends!  October sure has been something so far, huh?

There is a lot going on right now….we all are experiencing stressful situations, demands on our time, and long days.  Please remember to keep breathing, and take the time to find those things in your day that make you happy.  And don’t forget to laugh!  

I know the semester just started, but it is already time to think about commencement!  Staff are needed to help make Fall Commencement (December 18) a glorious day for our students.  HERE is how to learn more about getting involved!  

EVENTS

The University Resources and Planning Committee (URPC) and the University Budget Office (UBO), invite the Cal Poly Humboldt community to an open forum on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Presentation begins at 12:30 in the Kate Buchanan Room, on the second floor of the Gutswurrak Student Activities Center. The forum is intended to foster transparency and deepen the campus community’s understanding of our financial landscape. Submit your questions by Monday, October 26, 2026 at noon. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation both in person and via Zoom.
