Census Deadline

September 19, 2013

Dear CPS Faculty,

We are approaching an important date on our university calendar.

September 23 is the Fall 2013 CENSUS date so please make sure that all students who areattending your classes are indeed formally enrolled on your rosters. This is essential given that CENSUS information serves as the basis for how our workload {SFR), additional funds (MSF) and other important metrics are calculated. Any students added to classes after this date are not formally included in these calculations and thus we short-change ourselves if we do not offer a clear and accurate count of student enrollment at the time of CENSUS.

Also please notify your students that September 23rd is the last day for students taking classes this semester to:

• ADD Courses

• DROP courses without approval of serious & compelling reason. After this date, a $20.00 per class fee is required and a "W" grade will be recorded.

• Drop to a lower fee level & receive a refund of fees, less a $27.00 administrative charge.  Drops after this date can no longer be completed through the Student Center.

• WITHDRAW from entire fall semester without approval of serious & compelling reason.  After this date, a "W" grade will be recorded and permission to withdraw will be required.

• Last day to change registered class grade option to AUDIT

Finally, after 9/23/13, Late Adds will only be permitted for the following reasons: financial aid purposes, graduation, and athletic eligibility/scholarship eligibility. All students will be required to formally document the reason for the late add. Please do not consider adding students without proper documentation and note that students will be required to present documentation to the College office.

Thank you for taking the time to review your rosters before CENSUS and notifying students regarding the upcoming deadlines - it really does matter.

All the best,

Mary
