Call for Proposals: Symposium on Teaching & Learning

On behalf of the CSU Faculty Development Council, we are pleased to share an invitation from San Francisco State University to participate in an upcoming Virtual Symposium on **“Human-Centered AI in the Classroom: Student and Faculty Voices.”** The symposium will take place on **Friday, May 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (PT).**

This engaging, systemwide event will explore how faculty and students are thoughtfully navigating the opportunities and challenges presented by emerging AI technologies in higher education. The symposium aims to highlight practical strategies, classroom innovations, ethical considerations, and student-centered approaches that foreground human learning, equity, and academic integrity in an AI-enhanced environment.

**Call for Proposals**
Faculty are invited to submit proposals describing how they have addressed AI in their teaching practice. We welcome presentations that showcase course redesigns, assignments, assessment strategies, policy development, student partnerships, research findings, or reflective practices related to AI integration in the classroom.

The proposal submission deadline is **March 2**.
