Congratulations to student Keith Parker
Congratulations to student Keith Parker (Yurok, Hupa, Karuk) and his research experience this summer with the Yakima Tribe in Washington.
Mr. Parker has been a recipient of the INRSEP U.S. Fish and Wildlife Scholarship, HSU LAMP Research Fellowship, and the AISES A.T. Anderson Scholarship and Research Experience recipient amongst many other national research awards, scholarships and recognitions. He is a member of the Indian Natural Resource Science and Engineering Program (INRSEP), a Member of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), a Member of the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS), and an NSF HSU Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Research Fellow and Participant. He is also a participant in the NSF Undergraduate Research Mentoring (URM) Program.
Mr. Parker is an astute Tribal Cultural STEM role model for Tribal and Indigenous Students but also for all STEM Students. He is a natural leader, problem solver and seeks every opportunity to push the limits of his higher educational experiences. He is dedicated to the broader impact of his all his research.
