13th Annual Cal Poly Humboldt Hip-Hop Conference: You Must Learn! Call For Papers

The Critical Race, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Department is now accepting proposals from students, faculty, staff, and community members for presentations. Prospective participants may submit individual papers or full panels. All submissions must include the author/speaker(s) name, title of paper, and contact information.

Possible topics include, but are not limited to:

  • hip-hop & art
  • hip-hop & identity
  • hip-hop & education
  • hip-hop as resistance
  • hip-hop performance
  • hip-hop health justice
  • hip-hop to create unity
  • hip-hop as a resiliency factor
  • hip-hop environmental justice
  • hip-hop as a social/political movement

Proposals submission Due Friday, April 17th to Dr. Ramona Bell, rb1337@humboldt.edu

Conference Dates: Thursday, April 30th & Friday, May 1st

Presentations Friday, May 1, 5-7:30 PM
