Office of Institutional Compliance
We are delighted to announce the formation of the Office of Institutional Compliance (OIC), a new initiative housed in the Library and developed to support Cal Poly Humboldt’s commitment to research excellence.
The OIC supports students, faculty, and staff in conducting research with integrity and in alignment with the university’s legal, regulatory, and ethical responsibilities. Located in Library 316, Institutional Compliance Coordinators Dr. Jennine Crane and Sarah Pizzuto are available to assist with a variety of research compliance processes. These include support for the Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee (IACUC), Institutional Review Board (IRB), Responsible & Ethical Conduct of Research (RECR), and other key areas of compliance.
By providing a central point of contact, the OIC aims to streamline research compliance processes and foster a university-wide culture of ethical research, care, and accountability.
The OIC also maintains open Zoom Drop-In Hours every Monday and Tuesday from 2:00–4:00 p.m., and Thursday from 3:00–5:00 p.m. Join Drop-In Hours here.
We are proud to offer this dedicated resource in support of our vibrant research community and Cal Poly Humboldt’s mission to advance knowledge with integrity and impact.
