The Office of Research & Sponsored Programs Foundation is actively monitoring the impact of federal Executive Orders, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) memos, and related agency guidance—such as those issued by the NIH—as well as any relevant court decisions. We are closely following updates through the CSU Legislative Affairs network and the Research Administration Committee and will take action as appropriate.

At this time, we encourage Principal Investigators (PIs) with active funding or pending proposals to follow the guidance below:

For Investigators with Active Federal Awards:

• If you receive a request from your sponsor regarding your active project, please notify your Post-Award Grant Analyst if they are not already included.
• Ensure that all required reports are submitted on time to avoid any compliance issues.

For Investigators with Pending or Forthcoming Proposals to Federal Sponsors:

• If you receive a request from a sponsor regarding a pending proposal, please notify your Pre-Award Specialist if they are not already included.
• Be aware that federal agencies may experience delays in proposal review due to evolving guidance.
