Law School Info Night!
Dear Campus Community,
We are excited to extend an invitation to an upcoming "Law School Info Night" where you'll have the opportunity to demystify the intricacies of the law school application process, explore diverse career paths for lawyers, and foster connections with faculty members who have navigated the journey through legal education.
This event is organized by a dedicated team of faculty and staff: Joice Chang (Political Science), Jennifer Marlow (Env. Sci. & Mgmt), Andrea Juarez (Journalism), and Fernando Paz (ODEI), and is part of a campus-wide effort that underscores our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession. Our goal is to create an environment where all students feel empowered to explore the possibilities within a legal career, centering the experience of students who identify in whole or in part as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) across all academic fields.
Our featured guest speaker, Sydney Verga, a first-year law student, will share their experiences, offering invaluable perspectives on the journey from Cal Poly Humboldt to law school. This is a rare opportunity to engage with someone who has successfully transitioned into the legal realm.
Mark your calendar for this insightful evening. Your presence will contribute to the success of our Law School Info Night, and we look forward to seeing you there!
For special accommodations please contact Fernando at ffp1@humboldt.edu or call (707) 826-4504.
