9:00am - 12:00pm
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is hosting a virtual workshop on Tuesday, October 3, designed to help Minority Serving Institution (MSI) STEM faculty collaborate with leading experts PNNL scientists to address some of our nation’s most significant challenges.
ABOUT: Basic science is the centerpiece of the work at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). Research that helps us understand systems and processes provides the foundation of their work in sustainable energy and national security. PNNL’s distinctive strengths in biology, chemistry, Earth sciences, data science, and materials science are central to the discovery mission they embrace.
This workshop is a proactive step in building long-standing, productive working relationships with diverse academic researchers by partnering with faculty at minority-serving institutions with the goal of research collaboration opportunities and internships at PNNL. These research collaborations will be critical to creating an equitable workforce and building collaborations needed to tackle the greatest scientific challenges of our time.
During this workshop, you’ll hear about work happening at PNNL, discover opportunities for you to collaborate, and learn about internship opportunities for your students, as well as the next steps to building a co-created proposal for the Department of Energy’s Visiting Faculty Program at PNNL.
