At the recommendation of the GEAR subcommittee of the ICC, and in light of the requirements of CSU Executive Order 1100, our campus will conduct a review of our General Education and All-University Requirements (GEAR) program this academic year. The goal of this review is to develop a shared understanding of the purpose, vision, values, curriculum, and outcomes of the GEAR program. The program review will be a collaborative effort led by the Office of Undergraduate Studies and the ICC/GEAR committees with input solicited from students, staff, and faculty throughout the academic year. We encourage all members of our campus community to actively participate in this process and contribute their insights so that we may continue striving for the highest standards of education.
