Culturally Sustaining Professional Learning Community: How are you empowering our Latinx students to thrive?

Did you know this upcoming year marks Cal Poly Humboldt’s 10th anniversary of being designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI)? Come join us in learning more about what it means for Cal Poly Humboldt to be an HSI. We will cover the importance of celebrating our identity as an HSI and the formidable strengths of our Latinx students as well as challenges we face as an institution such as equity gaps. Learn about the new Professional Learning Community (PLC) Creando Conciencia which supports the success of our Latinx students at Cal Poly Humboldt. This PLC is the first at Cal Poly Humboldt to specifically focus on culturally sustaining educational spaces particularly for Latinx students.
