Let's Talk About the Middle East - Gaza

As part of the Let's Talk About the Middle East film and discussion series, HSU History professor Dr. Leena Dallasheh hosts a special screening of Gaza (2019) with Q&A with guest Abdalhadi Alijla.

This documentary follows everyday Gaza civilians that living among political conflict and occupation that consistently leaves them without access to food, water, electricity, or shelter.  This film shows how Gaza and its’ citizens are devastated by such crises- but still are not entirely defined by them.

Abdalhadi Alijla is a Palestinian scholar, born and raised in Gaza. He is a social and political scientist, the Co-Leader of Global Migration and Human Rights at Global Young Academy, and an Associate Researcher, and the Regional Manager of Varieties of Democracy Institute (Gothenburg University) for Gulf countries.
