Featured Workshop: CSU Research Initiatives & System-Wide Collaborations

Humboldt State University is pleased to welcome Dr. Leslie Ponciano, Director of Research Opportunities in the Department of Research at the California State University Office of the Chancellor.

Dr. Ponciano will be visiting Humboldt State University as part of the 2019 Chancellor's Office Grant Proposal Development Pilot Program. Her visit will include a presentation on Thursday February 7th open to all HSU Staff & Faculty. 

This workshop will provide a general overview of CSU Research Initiatives, System-wide collaborations & affinity groups, information on the Grant Proposal Development Pilot Program and a Q&A session with Dr. Ponciano.

No advance registration required. Hosted by the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs; light refreshments will be served.

Dr. Ponciano oversees programmatic and administrative aspects of CSU research, scholarship and creative activities, including affinity groups and field centers. She has a strong background in academic program administration and assessment owing to prior positions as academic coordinator for UCLA's Applied Developmental Psychology program; director of Loyola Marymount University's Early Childhood Education master's program; fieldwork coordinator in the Department of Child/Family Studies at Cal State LA; and director of research and educational partnerships for Age of Learning/ABCmouse.com. Dr. Ponciano received her master's from Columbia University and her Ph.D. from UCLA.
