HSU is the first campus in the CSU to allow students to specify their preferred pronouns, which will show up on class rosters for faculty. Over the coming months, these pronouns will be shared with multiple other systems used across campus, and we will continue to work until all systems can use each member of the campus community’s preferred name and pronoun. CSU-wide adoption of this feature is in progress.

A preferred pronoun is one that an individual chooses for themself and wants others to use when referring to them.
