Open Forums for the Next Provost (Vice President for Academic Affairs)

January 24, 2020

Humboldt State University will begin the search process for the next Provost (Vice President for Academic Affairs) by gathering feedback at  open forums, which are open to all students, faculty, and staff:

Monday, Jan. 27
10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Goodwin Forum

Tuesday, Jan. 28
5 p.m.
Goodwin Forum

The forums, led by the search firm, WittKieffer, are designed to engage the campus community by gathering comments from stakeholders and interested parties during the search process. This feedback will help guide recruitment activities over the next several months, with the goal to appoint a new Provost by summer 2020.

The University and the University Senate are now working together to create and appoint members to the search committee in alignment with the faculty handbook.

The search will be a confidential national search. Finalists are anticipated to visit campus this spring. Updates on search committee members, open forums, and the search process will be provided in future communications.
