MyHumboldt Login Issues

After a change to HSU’s authentication system yesterday, a small number of folks are experiencing an issue getting logged into our MyHumboldt Portal using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Clearing your cache will fix the issue.

Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. On your browser toolbar, select the three dots in the upper, right-hand corner of the browser. 
  3. Select Settings
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Advanced
  5. Under the section titled Privacy and Security, select the arrow located to the right for Clear Browsing Data
  6. From the pop-up box, select Clear the following items from the beginning of time and select: Cookies and other site data, and...Cached images and files.
  7. Select the Clear Data button. 
  8. Exit Chrome, and then re-launch Chrome to use it. 

Firefox

  1. Open Firefox. 
  2. Select the three bars in the upper, right-hand corner of the browser. 
  3. Select Options
  4. Select Privacy and Security. 
  5. In the Cookies and Data section, select Clear Data
  6. With Cached Web Content check marked, select the Clear button. 
  7. Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved. 
  8. Exit Firefox, and then re-launch Firefox to use it. 

Microsoft Edge

  1. Select the three dots in the upper, right-hand corner of the browser. 
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Scroll to the section titled Clear browsing data, and then select Choose what to clear
  4. Select: Cookies and saved website dataCached data and filesTabs I've set aside or recently closed
  5. Go down to Always clear this when I close the browser and slide bar to ON
  6. If you use Cortana and want to clear browsing history that's stored in the cloud, select Change what Microsoft Edge knows about me in the cloud, then select Clear browsing history.

Safari

  1. From the upper, left-hand corner of the screen select the Safari icon. 
  2. Select Clear History
  3. Select All History
  4. Select the Clear History button on the bottom right. 
  5. Close Safari, and then re-launch Safari to use it.
