As with most processes across campus, this year’s student employment sign-up process will look a little different in light of COVID-19. These past two months have been difficult and challenging for all of us. We are living in unprecedented times. Like me, I am sure each of you have heard from your colleagues in higher education about the challenges this pandemic has created at institutions across the nation.  

Provost Search Committee Announces Finalists

Humboldt State University is excited to announce the four finalists for its next Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. The University will host a virtual open forum for each candidate. These forums, facilitated by the Provost Search Committee, are open to faculty, staff, students, and administrators and give the campus community an opportunity to hear from the candidates, ask questions, and learn more about their approaches to leadership. 

Title IX Campus Forum Tuesday, May 5, 5-6:30 p.m.

HSU’s Title IX Office has partnered with the campus Sexual Assault Prevention Committee and the Campus Advocate Team (CAT) to host an interactive online forum. We will share information about Title IX at HSU and the services of the Campus Advocate Team, and we'll highlight recent changes in the Title IX Office.  We will then open the forum to solicit feedback on how to improve Title IX to better meet the needs of the HSU community.   

Process for Staff and Faculty Leaving Employment with HSU

During the pandemic, separating employees should turn in their Separating Employee Clearance Form and other items such as employee ID, keys, parking permit, ProCards and Travel Cards to the Parking Kiosk. The Parking Kiosk operating hours are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Provost Search Committee Hosting Virtual Open Forums for Finalists

Humboldt State University is in the final stages of the search process for its next Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Starting next week, the University will host a virtual open forum for each of the four candidates who have been selected by the Provost Search Committee. 

Names and details about the finalists and information on how to access the forums will be announced Friday, May 1.

Staff Performance Evaluations for the 2019/2020 Performance Period

It is time for annual staff evaluations to be completed. Due to contractual reasons, the performance evaluation periods are unchanged. The performance period for evaluation staff continues to be May 1st to May 1st, final-signed evaluations due in HR by May 31st
