Accountability Through the Lens of Cultural Humility: A Call to Action

Words shared at this moment seem insufficient to make sense of the pain that many of us are feeling because of the recent killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery. Their murders are not isolated incidents, but a pattern of systemic violence against Black people that goes back centuries. Many are in denial that white supremacy is infused into the systems and institutional structures of the United States but anti-blackness, structural racism, and white superiority are at its core.

Most HSU Employees to Continue Telecommuting

As Humboldt State University continues to plan for summer operations and the Fall semester, it has become clear that the number of faculty and staff working on campus will continue to be limited for the safety of the campus community.

With a goal of keeping campus density low in the fall, most employees will need to continue telecommuting. Likely fewer than 30 percent of employees will return to work on campus. In many cases, employees will work most of the time telecommuting with limited hours physically on campus.
