Strategic Enrollment Management Plan Update

Dear Colleagues,

Work on a new Strategic Enrollment Management Plan is moving along quickly, and we expect to have a plan circulated for feedback by mid to late April. I am writing to update you about some of the work being done. More information about the planning process is available here.

Environmental Scan Available

A snapshot of HSU's current conditions, circumstances and influences has been prepared and presented by Dr. Lisa Castellino - AVP Office of Institutional Effectiveness. This document give the context to guide our SEM planning discussions. Access the report here

Recruitment Council Meets

On 1/29/2018 the recruitment council met to begin setting goals for HSU's 5 year strategic enrollment management plan. The discussion covered several topics and laid the groundwork for establishing goals and strategies to achieve enrollment targets. Notes for the meeting are available. The next meeting of the recruitment council will occur on February 12th, 2018

Cabinet and OAA Participate in Equity Workshops

The President's Executive Cabinet and leadership from the office of Academic Affairs (OAA) took part in part one of a two-part workshop, designed to provide an understanding of the concept of whiteness and how microaggressions are a manifestation of whiteness. Participants develop an understanding of the experience of our students, faculty, and staff of color and discuss/reflect on ways to enact change in their personal and professional lives.
